Texas Coordination and Collaboration for Innocence Investigation
In 2005, the Texas Legislature, through the General Appropriations Act, provided that funds be directed to the state’s public law schools to support their work investigating claims of innocence by incarcerated individuals. The Texas Indigent Defense Commission is currently responsible for administering the $800,000 allocation to four public law schools in Texas.
